Kate was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on the 31st of March 1980 and raised in Nazareth, Pennsylvania – the Lehigh Valley region of the state. She attended Nazareth Area High School, where she graduated from in 1998. She bagged an A.A in Fine Arts from Keystone College, La Plume, Pennsylvania, and a B.A in Studio Arts from Loyola Marymount University, L.A.

She has always been in the arts since she was little. Kate revealed in an interview that what she now does is not different from what she has been doing since she was little. At the age of four, her mom taught her to play classical piano and that they did a lot of acting at her house growing up; “at my house, we were always putting on plays and making movies in the backyard”, she said. Kate Micucci has appeared in TV commercials, series, and films. She played Toni the barista on Four Kings which aired briefly on the NBC network in 2006. She has also been on several others including How I Met Your Mother, Malcolm in the Middle, Campus Ladies, Cory in the House, Til Death, Raising Hopes, and Scrubs. She appeared in five episodes of the Scrubs playing Stephanie Gooch, the ukulele player Ted Buckland started a relationship with.

She also appeared in the dark comedy TV series Weeds playing a slightly sedated waitress and in some episodes of HBO series, Bored to Death. She played a recurring role as shy Lucy on the sitcom –The Big Bang Theory. In 2016, she appeared in the first season of Netflix comedy-drama series, Easy alongside Malin Akerman and Orlando Bloom.

Her film credits include as Susan in the 2009 comedy-drama film The Last Hurrah, as Abby in Bart Got a Room and as Beth’s co-worker and friend, Stacey in the romantic comedy When in Rome. In 2015, she voiced Velma Dinkley in the Warner Bros animated TV series Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!. Kate also lent her voice in the animated series Adventure Time, and also voiced Julie Kane on the Disney XD animated series Motorcity.
