Kari Wuhrer is an American actress and singer who began her career as a teenager. She is best known for starring as a cast member on MTV’s Remote Control as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.
She is not only a good actress but is also considered beautiful. Kari was voted in two consecutive years, 2000 and 2001 on FHM 100 sexiest Women at #76 and #73 respectively.

It was in Brookfield, Connecticut, on April 28, 1967, that the actress was born as Kari Samantha Wuhrer. She was welcomed into the family of Karin, a payroll accountant and a German American police officer and car salesman, Andrew Wuhrer. Kari grew up with her three siblings; Christopher, Scott, and Kim. Her nationality is American and she is of white ethnicity.
She got interested in the show business at a tender age having been born into the lineage of performers. Her father and grandfather played the piano and her grandmother was a Jazz Singer. She would sneak out of the family house to sing in nightclubs as a teenager.
Kari was well prepared and educated for her future career in the entertainment industry. From the age of 13, she studied acting at the Wooster School of Dramatic Arts. She also had further formal training both in New York and London at these institutes:

Her first appearance in a movie was in the 1986 film, Fire with Fire where she portrayed Gloria. She had her breakthrough in TV when she worked for the popular MTV game show, Remote Control for two seasons and would later work as a VJ on the channel.
Kari appeared regularly in television series in the ’90s including Swamp Thing (1991-1992), Class of ’96 (1993), Sliders (1997-2000). Her guest appearances include The Marshall (1995), To Have & To Hold (1998). Her recent works include CSI: Miami (2006), Leverage (2010).
She portrayed Ariel Hunter in the long-running prime-time soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210 (1994-1995). Kari Wuhrer joined the cast of the daytime soap opera General Hospital as FBI Reese Marshall from February 3 to November 2005. Her role came to an end after her character died from injuries incurred in a train wreck.
As opposed to the reason for her exit from the show which is the death of her character, Kari announced in January 2006 that she was suing General Hospital. On what grounds? She claimed that she was fired because of her pregnancy. However, the case was resolved in December 2006.

Kari proved her talent as a singer with the release of her debut album, Shiny in 1999. She signed a record deal with impresario Rick Rubin and her album was released by Del-Fi Records. The singer did not only use her voice in the project but also tripled as a songwriter, writing most of the songs and an instrumentalist. She played both the guitar and the flute on several tracks.
Shiny became her only album as she has not recorded any other known one since then. We anticipate more from her if she ever ventures into that arena again.
