Dr Travis Stork’s Divorce, Re-Marriage and Details Of His Spine Surgery

The public took notice of Dr. Travis Stork for the first time when he appeared on season 8 of the American dating and relationship TV series, The Bachelor. Since then, he has appeared in other celebrity shows including The Wendy Williams Show, Entertainment Tonight, The Rachael Ray, and The Doctors. Stork, apart from his television projects, is a successful emergency physician. He began his studies at Parkway West High School and later enrolled at Duke University for further studies. Following his graduation, he was admitted to the University of Virginia to study medicine. He is said to have graduated with honors, after which he started an emergency medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee, Nashville.

It was during his residency that Dr. Travis Stork appeared in The Bachelor. After completing his residency, Travis began practicing medicine in a Colorado hospital and at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s emergency departments. The American physician is the son of Donna and Roger Stork. He was born on March 9, 1972, in Fort Collins, Colorado, and raised in Missouri. Not much is known about his family background but it has been reported that he is the first medical doctor in his family.

Dr. Travis Stork’s First Marriage and Divorce

Though Dr. Travis Stork is highly respected and well known for his medical knowledge and massive success in his career, he has had his fair share of troubles in his love life. The emergency physician has been married twice. His first attempt at marriage was with an American Pediatrician called Dr. Charlotte Brown.

The two became intimately involved in 2009 and later got engaged while they were on a vacation in Hawaii; that was in 2011. They eventually got married in the presence of their families and friends in an intimate ceremony that took place on the 30th day of June 2012, in Colorado. Sadly, things went haywire three years into their marriage, leading to divorce on March 25th, 2015.

Stork and Brown walked out of their marital relationship without revealing the reason for the decision and their union didn’t produce kids. The latter has kept a low profile since she called it quits with the emergency physician but reports have it that she’s currently based in Nashville and that she is a staff of the Rock Creek Medical Office.

Who Is His Second Wife?

While it’s unknown if Charlotte has given up on love, it is no news that Dr. Travis Stork has found love again in the arms of a beautiful woman called Parris Bell. The two met in Nashville, through a mutual friend in 2016 and tied the knot on the 3rd of August 2019.

Unlike Travis’s first wife, Parris is a lawyer. She is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, where she was born in the year 1992. She graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2014 and later obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the same institution in 2017. Parris bagged her attorney’s license the following year and has been doing great in her career.

Before their marriage, Bell and Stork embarked on a pre-wedding honeymoon to Costa Rica after which they spent a couple of days in Hawaii for a traditional honeymoon. The lovebirds are not parents yet but their first offspring is expected to arrive in June 2020.

Dr. Travis Stork is said to have dated Sarah Stone and Carrie Underwood before getting married to Charlotte.

Facts About Dr. Travis Stork’s Spine Surgery

For a couple of years, Dr. Travis Stork suffered excruciating back pain that left him traumatized and even impacted on his hosting duties on The Doctors. The physician decided to put an end to his pain and discomfort in 2012 with the help of an orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Hooman M. Melamed, who is also a regular guest on The Doctors.

After undergoing an MRI, it was found that Dr. Stork had an impingement on a nerve root in his spine which was later fixed via a micro-surgery. Travis’ back pain began as spasms and later worsened to the extent where his arm became numb. Then, the physician found it difficult to sit down for hours for his show or fly on a plane despite undergoing several treatments such as acupuncture, massage, rehab exercise, and chiropractic massage.

Dr. Travis Stork has never complained about pains since he successfully came out of surgery. He’s no longer distracted from growing his career as an emergency physician and the host of the daytime medical talk show, The Doctors, a role he assumed in 2008.
