Christine Ko is an American-born film and TV actress and fashion designer. The multitalented star has Asian roots and is able to speak both English language and Mandarin Chinese. She had a brief acting career in Taiwan from 2010 to 2011 prior to her success in America.
To television audiences, Ko is best known for her main role as Emma in the CBS sitcom The Great Indoors. She also had a recurring role on the long-running hit series Hawaii Five-0. Christine Ko was born in Chicago, Illinois, on the 3rd day of August 1988. She was raised in Atlanta by an aunt and an uncle whom she regards as her parents. She also spent some part of her childhood and teenage years in her biological father’s native country of Taiwan.

Ko is the only child of her parents as their marriage ended in a divorce when she was 3 years old. However, she has five siblings from her father’s side including Chaoen Ko and Andy Ko, an actor. Her father died at age 63 in February 2014 in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
