Unlike most Holywood heavyweights, Alexandra Daddario didn’t start her acting career early. While she nursed the idea of becoming an actress from the age of eleven, it wasn’t until she turned 16 that she launched her professional career in the craft.

She was welcomed by parents – Christina who is a lawyer and her prosecutor father Richard Daddario who used to head the New York City Police Department counter-terrorism unit under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The eldest child in the family, Alexandria has a sister named Catharine and a brother named Matthew (an actor). Her ancestry is a mix of Italian, Slovak, English, and Irish.
Alexandria Daddario and her siblings had their growing up days on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and for her education, she went to Brearley School and the Professional Children’s School before proceeding to college at Marymount Manhattan College. To hone her skills in acting, the actress studied the Meisner acting technique for a few years.
She debuted on television at the age of 16, playing Laurie Lewis on the soap opera All My Children which served as a stepping stone to greater heights in the industry. 2014 saw the actress in a short role in the debut season of HBO series True Detective and in 2015, she landed a lead role, playing Blake Gaines in the film San Andreas in which Dwayne Johnson costarred. The same year, the actress made a cameo appearance in the Fox comedy series The Last Man on Earth and guest starred in FX anthology series American Horror Story.
She played a supporting role in the romantic drama film The Choice in 2016 after which she starred in a lead role in the film adaptation of Baywatch in 2017 and also appeared in the road trip comedy The Layover the same year.
In more recent times, Alexandra Daddario played a part in Maroon 5’s music video Wait and starred in the romantic comedy When We First Met. We Have Always Lived in the Castle, Nomis and I Am Not a Bird are just a few of her film exploits in 2018.
