His father has been identified as Sherrod Moore who spent his Youth in the United States before moving down to Japan where he got married to Nobuko Takahashi Moore and had Shenon and his three biological siblings. However, Sherrod is already late, he died in December 2019 at the age of 79.

Shenon and Shemar Grew Up In Different Homes
While Sharrod was relocating to Japan, he left his first son, Shemar, under the watch of his mother, Marilyn, in Oakland, California, where he spent his earliest formative years before moving to Bahrain and Denmark.
After Sherrod married Nobuko, they had Shenon More in Japan, and at the age of four, he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, to live for the ensuing 14 years, thus, the two half-siblings were brought up in different homes under the watch of different parents.
It’s important to note that the marriage between Marilyn and Sherrod was an interracial relationship and the duo wedded during the period that such unions were frowned at. Because of their situation, the pressure proved too much for them to handle; Sherrod even spent four years behind bars for issues bothering on wife battering during which time, Marylyn took Shemar to Bahrain and later to Denmark.
It was while Marilyn was in Denmark that Sherrod went down to Japan with Nobuko as he wanted to protect his younger children from suffering the discrimination meted out to the Black community in America.
