Ronner Williams Is African-American
Ronner Williams was born to his parents, Richard Williams and Betty Johnson in the United States of America. His father was a tennis coach and his mother was a homemaker. He holds American citizenship and has an African American heritage
He does not have most aspects of his personal information in public, consequently, his exact birthday, birthplace, and age are not available to the public yet. However, his current age is suggested to be about 55. This is possible because of his eldest sister, Sabrina Williams’ interview in January 2020 with The Sun which suggested that he was born in 1969.
Growing up was a sweet-and-sour experience for young Ronner. His first few years on earth were blissful but things went downhill as the years went by. According to Sabrina, after their father, Richard, left them, the family went from grace to grass as their mother, Betty, didn’t have a real job and couldn’t sustain the family.
Aside from struggling to have good meals, Ronner barely had his father around. His mother single-handedly raised him, his four siblings, and his half-sister without any help from his father. Thus, their mom struggled to see them through school.
While we know Ronner Williams has his basic education, the schools he attended for his elementary and high school education are not available to the public. Though some believe he is well-schooled, no one can account for his level of education.
His Parents Are No Longer Together
Ronner Williams’ mother, Betty Johnson was his father, Richard Williams’ first wife. His parents met in California in the 1960s. The old tennis coach was said to have just relocated to California at the time. Betty was a single mom with a daughter, however, that did not deter Mr. Williams who proceeded to date her.
Soon, their love matured and they were set to tie the knot. It is not known how long the lovebirds dated, but their courtship lasted a while. In 1965, they exchanged marital vows and within a space of eight years, they had five children. Ronner Williams was the third child of the couple.
But despite having three beautiful daughters and two sons, Ronner Williams’ parent’s marriage was characterized by constant quarrels owed largely to his father’s philandering. Unfortunately, it all came to an end in 1973 as after 8 years, his father walked out on the family.
After the divorce, Betty struggled to make ends meet for her six children. But Richard cared less about them and moved on with his life. Years down the line, Ronner’s mom was diagnosed with cancer. She died in December 1998 from cancer complications.
The Williams Sisters Share The Same Father With Ronner
As earlier stated, Ronner Williams is popularly known as Serena Williams’ brother but they are not direct siblings, only half-siblings. Ronner is the third child of his parents, Richard Williams and Betty Johnson, while Serena and Venus Williams were born to his father by his second wife, Oracene Price.
The Williams family is quite a large one but Serena Willaims and her sister, Venus, did not grow together with Ronner and his siblings. And despite the years that have gone by, the siblings still seem estranged from each other, and thus, they are not very close as siblings should be.
The situation may change in the nearest future as siblings on both sides have at one point or the other talked about their desire and willingness to mend fences and unite both sides of the family. Serena Williams once said that she really cared about her dad’s first family. Sabrina Williams also wishes that the entire family will one day unite, So one may be right to assume that their desires will come true sooner rather than later.
Ronner Williams Has Other Half Siblings
We mentioned earlier that Ronner Williams’ mother, Betty Johnson, was already a single mother at the time she started dating his father. This means that Ronner has an older half-sibling, a sister. Her name is Katrina Jones and she is a product of his mother’s previous relationship with a yet-to-be-identified man.
Also, besides Serena and Venus Williams, Richard Williams still sired kids with other women which include Dylan Williams from his third wife and then, Chavoita LeSane who is a product of an extramarital affair.
Does Ronner Play Tennis?
No, Ronner Williams is not a professional tennis player like his sisters. He might be playing the game as a hobby but that is not his source of income. This not-so-famous Serena Williams’ brother is a businessman.
Due to the fact that he is a private person, nothing is known about the kind of business he does, and almost everything about him is linked to his superstar sisters. However, his net worth is estimated to be about $1 million.
Is Ronner Williams Married?
Ronner Williams keeps a very low profile and is almost unnoticed by the public. He keeps his life away from the media and the only fame he enjoys is due to his sisters’ achievements. So much about him, especially his personal life is not known.
As regards his love life, it has been reported that he is married with children but there are no further details on that. Be that as it may, we cannot tell how long they have been together and how many kids they have.
