Laurel’s mother was a dancer and Broadway actress and since an apple, they say, doesn’t fall far from the tree, two of her daughters followed in her footsteps by entering the world of entertainment. While Selena became a stand-up comedian and author, Laurel became an actress. Only Emily took a different path as an art dealer/appraiser.

Laurel attended Colby College, Maine, and got acting lessons from the Circle in the Square Acting Conservatory, New York. She played small roles while in Chicago and did improv comedy for five years, before moving to Amsterdam where she learned to perfect her skills in acting for a year.
