The American rapper released his first album at the age of 17 (in October 2017). The album was titled Souljaboytellem.com and had 14 tracks. Amongst the most popular ones were Crank That (Soulja Boy), Soulja Girl, and Donk.

Soulja Boy’s first album was well-received by fans. It reached No. 4 on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The lead single, Crank That, also topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and the US Hot Rap Songs.

He Won His First Award at the Age of 17

Soulja Boy won his first award at the age of 17. This was at the 2007 edition of the BET Hip-Hop Awards where he won the award for Best Hip-Hop Dance. The award was in recognition of his highly popular dance for his Crank That song. The dance helped to fuel the popularity of the song on social media and beyond.

The rapper has also won other awards such as the Social Verified Award at the 2019 BET Social Awards and Patiently Waiting: Mississippi at the 2007 Ozone Awards. The Social Verified Award was for his social media comeback. The Patiently Waiting: Mississippi Award is given out to regional artists on the verge of breaking.
