A report by Los Angeles Times revealed that Brenda had to fight hard and sometime loudly just to see to it that she gets everything Zach was supposed to get from the school system. The publication also disclosed that if not for money issues, Brenda would have loved to hire the best tutors possible for Zachary Taylor Warner.
Being in a condition like Zack’s is far from easy, both for him and his loved ones. Even though he is not completely blind, he is able to get by each day with the support of his family. Inspired by his condition, Zack’s parents co-established Treasure House, where he lives, leading a purposeful life alongside other residents who are intellectually and developmentally disabled.

Zachary Taylor Was Not Born Blind
One out of thousands of children are born blind but that was not the case for Zachary Taylor Warner as many seem to think. On the contrary, the incident that led to him losing his sight occurred while the young man was still an infant, just three and half months old.
On that faithful day of the incident, he accidentally slipped from the hands of his biological father and landed with his head in the bathtub, which resulted in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Many, even doctors, thought he was not going to survive, telling his parents that he may not live beyond the night and that if he stayed alive, he would be brain-damaged to a great extent and most likely not able to live anything close to a normal life.
Zachary did miraculously pull through it all, however, just like the doctors said, permanent damage was done to his brain. Consequently, he became partially blind and his motor skills also became retarded. One can only imagine the pain his parents felt, most especially his father who must have felt guilty for his son’s condition.
Moving on, the family had to accept and live with their son’s present condition. They had to devise a means to help him cope even though he is not fully blind. But as we all know, people with any form of disability do not find life easy as they always get to struggle at some point. It’s actually not a condition one should find him/herself in.
Sadly, Zachary Taylor Warner’s father and mother got divorced eventually. According to Los Angeles Times, the couple’s union crashed because Neil found it hard to deal with his guilt over Zack’s condition.
