Keith Randulich (born April 16, 1991) is a  33-year-old American who is infamous for killing his half-sister, Sabrina Clement. He confessed to killing his younger sister with a steak knife on May 22, 2009. This shocking incident unprecedentedly brought the young American to the limelight.

Keith Randulich Is Infamous For Stabbing His Sister Sabrina Clement To Death

Keith grew up with a decent American family and lived a quiet life until he murdered his only sister, Sabrina Clement. The incident caused a stir around the world and brought him to the spotlight. The unfortunate event occurred on May 22, 2009. Keith, 17, took his 4-year-old half-sister Sabrina Clement into the basement when his parents were out of the house and his brother was playing in the room upstairs.

The little girl followed her older brother, having no idea of the terrible thing that was about to happen to her. Sabrina had asked Keith if he wanted to paint with her, which he promised to do. However, Keith later convinced her to lie on the floor, and as soon as she did, he attacked, hoisted, and slit her throat with a five-inch steak knife. She helplessly begged for her life, but Keith turned deaf ears and stabbed her until she died.

Keith Randulich murdered his half-sister, Sabrina Clement, because, according to him, he wanted to “keep her safe”. He further stated that a family member is physically and sexually abusing her. And because he couldn’t harm the alleged abuser, he decided killing Sabrina would save her from experiencing more abuse.

However, witnesses and several analysts claimed the 17-year-old attacked his sister because his parents weren’t showing much love to him as they were to her. Randulich did not feel sorry for slitting his half-sister’s throat. He maintained that he was only trying to save her.

Despite his claims, investigators found no evidence of sexual abuse on Sabrina’s autopsy. On the contrary, the detectives discovered several mysterious objects in the basements. Some of them were death metal music, horror films, clown masks made of rubber, and disturbing writings.

Attorney, Mike Fitzgerald, confirmed that Sabrina had many significant knife cuts to her neck. According to court reports, Keith had called 911 after stabbing Sabrina and confessed that he killed his half-sister with a knife. When the cops arrived at their family’s house, they discovered Keith covered in blood.

A few days before stabbing his half-sister, Keith had asked his mother’s permission to buy a gun from his high school graduation fund. His high school graduation was only a few weeks away, so his mother declined his request. It is believed that Keith’s initial plan was to use the gun on Sabrina. But when he could not get his hands on any, he chose a different method.

Keith Randulich Got A 40-year Sentence

Keith Randulich received a 40-year jail term for murdering his half-sister Sabrina Clement. The Will County’s Attorney, James Glasgow, made the declaration in 2011, after three years of court proceedings and hearings.

To prevent him from ever being able to walk freely in society again, prosecutors had tried to get Circuit Judge Amy Bertani-Tomczak to sentence him to life imprisonment. He also requested to prolong Keith’s sentence to 60–100 years. Nonetheless, as of now, Keith’s release date is 2051.

Is Keith Randulich Still Alive?

Keith Randulich is still very much alive. Even though many presumed he had/would be given the death sentence, that did not happen. He pleaded guilty to the murder charges and was, therefore, sentenced according to US law. In 2011, he was sentenced to forty years for killing his younger half-sister.

Despite his public sentencing, there are claims from several quarters that the Mokena native is dead.
