The music industry, particularly in urban music has provided a consistent string of freshmen artists the last few years. G Herbo, born Herbert Wright III, is one of those to have come off the 2014 production line.

He has released numerous projects since he came on the scene and doesn’t look like he’ll be slowing down anytime soon. This rapper’s discography contains albums such as Welcome to Fazoland, 2014; Strictly 4 My Fans, 2016; and Humble Beast, 2017.

G Herbo’s Bio, Age

Herbert Wright III was born in South Shore on the Southeast Side of Chicago, on October 8, 1995. His town was popularly known as Terror Town because of the frequency of gang activity prevalent in the place. He grew up listening to artists such as Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy and Chief Keef. He and his fellow rapper and friend Lil Bibby would later start their rap careers after being inspired by their rap heroes.

Both Herbo and Lil Bibby belong to the brotherhood N.L.M.B. The name draws from different sources of inspiration. The four letters N, L, M and B came from a merger of two gang names: No Limit (a faction of the gang Almighty Black P. Stone) and Muskegon Boyz (a faction of the Gangster Disciples). However, the initials N.L.M.B also mean “Never Leave My Brothers” for Herbo’s N.L.M.B brotherhood.

Songs and Mixtapes

G Herbo and Lil Bibby got some well-deserved attention for their song Kill Shit. The song has since gone on to gain over 15 million views and counting on YouTube. Even the famous Canadian emcee, Drake, has described them as the future. On February 2014, Lil Herb dropped Return to Fazoland, his first mixtape which was dedicated to his friend Fazon Robinson. In the same release year, XXL Magazine chose him for their Show & Prove segment of the 2014 Freshmen Class issue. He also surprised his fan base by releasing an unexpected second mixtape for 2014.
