It was during that time that the lovebirds first crossed paths. Reports said they became college sweethearts at that point, and their relationship continued after they completed their university degrees.
Jon later popped the big question to his love interest on the 9th of August 2015, and it goes without saying that she said “Yes”.
Barely one year after they became officially engaged, the college sweethearts decided to take their relationship to the next level by tying the nuptial knot on May 6th, 2017. At the time of their nuptials, Jon had already worked four years as an assistant coach for his alma mater, Duke University, while Marcelle Provencial had worked as a nurse for some time.

Born on August 24th, 1987, Jon Scheyer is an alum of Glenbrook North High School, Illinois, where he started his basketball career. Proceeding to Duke University, Jon played collegiate basketball. His college days were quite eventful as Jon won the NCAA March Madness championship in 2010 while playing as a guard, and his senior year was also memorable. Marcelle Provencial’s husband eventually became a first-team All-American, recording 15 points, 5 assists, and 5 boards in the championship game.
After graduation, he went overseas to play basketball at a professional level for a few years before returning to his alma mater to start working as an assistant coach for the Duke Collegiate Basketball team.
He only worked for one year before the academic institution promoted him to the level of full assistant coach.
After he became the assistant Coach, Marcelle Provencial’s spouse helped in leading Duke to the March Madness basketball tournament four good times, this includes an Elite Eight appearance in 2018.

Marcelle Provencial and Jon Scheyer share three children – a girl and two boys. The couple welcomed their first child, Noah Marie Scheyer, on the 29th of January 2018. From what is obvious, Noah, who is currently 5, may well be their only daughter.
Barely one year later, Noah became a big sister to the couple’s first son, Jett James Scheyer, who joined the family on August 24th, 2019. Interesting to note that Jet and his dad share the same birthday and often celebrate together. Jon refers to his son as his “birthday bud.”
The Scheyers expanded their brood on May 18th, 2022, when the baby of the family, James Russell Scheyer, arrived in Durham, North Carolina. Following the birth of his second son, an excited Jon took to his Instagram handle to announce the good news.
