His college days were quite eventful as Jon won the NCAA March Madness championship in 2010 while playing as a guard, and his senior year was also memorable. Marcelle Provencial’s husband eventually became a first-team All-American, recording 15 points, 5 assists, and 5 boards in the championship game.

After graduation, he went overseas to play basketball at a professional level for a few years before returning to his alma mater to start working as an assistant coach for the Duke Collegiate Basketball team.

He only worked for one year before the academic institution promoted him to the level of full assistant coach.
