Michel Stern and his wife Lisa Kudrow have quite an interesting love story, unless you are Lisa’s roommate who Stern was said to have been dating at the time he first came across his future wife.

The two met in the late 1980s through the unnamed roommate. The then-upcoming actress, who was said to have been able to speak some French and had an affinity for people from France, was attracted to the French man who also enjoyed his short exchange with his girlfriend’s roommate.

Nothing subsequently occurred between the pair as Stern would later break up with his girlfriend and not come in contact with Lisa again.

As faith would have it, however, the paths of the two would go-on to cross a few years later where they managed to start a friendship that led to them deciding to spend the rest of their lives together.

“I was living with French girl and he had just moved here and they were dating when we first met. But I’m freakishly polite, so I saw him and went, ‘Well, he’s the perfect man and it’s all ruined because now they’re together and I can’t (make a play for him),’

“I thought that that’s not nice to flirt. But the minute I saw him I went, “Well, that’s it, there he is.”

She continued, “When he’d come to pick her up, he’d say, ‘Oh hello, Lisa,’ and I’d say, ‘Hi,’ and I’d go and leave the room and he thought I was a freak.

“They went out for two and a half months, and six years later I met him again at her birthday party and we just never stopped. We’re still friends.

When Did Michel Stern and Lisa Kudrow Get Married?

Lisa Kudrow tied the knot with her husband on the 27th of May, 1995, in Malibu, California.

This happened right around the time she was becoming famous for playing the Phoebe character in Friends (1994-2004) which has since been recognized as one of the greatest female characters in American television.

Michel Stern was 37 years old at the time of him marrying Kudrow who was 31. A few years after they exchanged marital vows, the couple welcomed a child to the world.

Lisa gave birth to a son named Julian Murray Stern on the 7th of May 1998. She did not have to take so much time away from the television show as her pregnancy was written into the show that was in its fourth season at the time.

Her character was helping out her younger half-brother and his wife by agreeing to become a surrogate mother. She was said to have been expecting triplets.
