DaBaby Height: How Tall is The American Rapper?

How tall is DaBaby? DaBaby’s height is 5 feet 7 inches which is the equivalent of 170 cm or 1.7m in the metric system. He weighs around 75 kg and 165.35 lbs in Pounds.

Previously known as Baby Jesus, DaBaBy’s real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk. The 32 years old American rapper from Charlotte, Carolina, was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He has always been drawn to hip-hop since he was young as he was exposed to songs of prominent rap artists like Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and Eminem. Nonetheless, it was in the mid-2010s that he decided to focus on building a career in the music industry, thereby releasing several mixtapes that gained him some measure of attention.

DaBaby’s breakthrough later came in 2018 after he met Arnold Taylor, the president of South Coast Music Group. After he joined South Coast, he landed a distribution deal with Jay-Z’s company, Roc Nation, for his 13th mixtape titled Blank Blank. Released in November 2018, the success of the mixtape gained him greater access to prominent figures in the industry and had major labels pulling strings to sign him.

He eventually inked a seven-figure recording deal with Interscope and dropped his first and second studio albums titled Baby on Baby and Kirk in March and September 2019. His effort has won him multiple awards, including a remarkable nomination for six Grammy Awards in 2020 and 2021. As you would soon learn, his freestyle version of SpotemGottem’s song, “Beat Box”, is the major reason behind the curiosity surrounding the rapper’s height.

DaBaby’s Height Became a Subject of Ridicule After He Dropped His Freestyle Version of “Beat Box” In February 2021

SpotemGottem is an American rapper who rose to fame after he dropped his debut single, “Beat Box” in April 2020. The heavy base of the song and its violent lines resonate with a lot of hip-hop fans and the song went viral, accumulating millions of views on YouTube and streaming platforms like Spotify.

Then came the viral #JunebugChallenge on Tik Tok and Instagram which made the song even more popular. The song has had several remixes since then and DaBaBy dropped his own version of the song in February 2021.

In his version, DaBaBay gave a shout-out to SpotemGottem as he rapped about the things that have come to define rap songs: money, women, and jewelry. A line for his “Beatbox Freestyle” says: “Ni**a, you a bitch, JoJo Siwa (bitch).”

Now, JoJo Siwa is a famous American YouTuber; Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020. Despite explaining that the line was only a wordplay, that JoJo stands for his real name, Jonathan, and that Siwa means “see why”, people on Twitter held on to the notion that he was out to beef the YouTuber.

With that, fans went about poking fun at the rapper while wondering why he would want to start a fight with someone who towers above him. The memes kept rolling in that it began circulating in some quarters that the two are at each other’s throats over their height differences, but this is not so. If the rapper is truly 5 feet 7 inches tall, then JoJo Siwa isn’t significantly taller than him as people on Twitter made it seem.

According to various reports, the YouTuber stands at 5 feet 9 inches (175 cm) which means she is only 2 inches (5 cm) taller than the rapper.

The Rapper Isn’t As Tall As The Average American Male

Men in some regions and countries are taller than men from other regions and nations of the world. Various studies have concluded that the tallest of men are from Europe and Central Asia whereas the shortest men are from South Asia. The United States of America and other North American nations used to have the tallest people in the world but this has changed.

While America is still counted among the nations with tall people, the growth rate of its citizens has stunted over the years. At the moment, the average man in the country stands at 5 feet 9.3 inches (176 cm). With that, one can assert that most men in the country are taller than DaBaBy by 2.3 inches (6 cm).

The rapper might be considered a short man in his country but he would be a tall fellow if he’s from South Asia, especially Timor-Leste where most men stand at 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm).

DaBaby’s Height Compared to Hip-Hop Artists In America

The average height for hip-hop artists is yet to be determined but one can tell that the Charlotte rapper, although not as tall as the average man in his country, isn’t the shortest in the industry. At 5 feet 7 inches (170 cm), we can confirm he is 4 inches (10 cm) taller than late Eazy-E, Phife Dawg, and Tory Lanez who are all 5 feet 3 inches (160 cm) tall.

DaBaby is also taller than Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, and Big Boi who respectively stand at 5 feet 4 inches (163 cm), 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm), and 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm). Others like Tyga, Bow Wow, Too Short, Mac Miller, Pitbull, Lil B, and DJ Khaled are as tall as DaBaby.

Who Is Taller Between DaBaby and SpotemGottem?

You would be forgiven if you don’t know who SpotemGottem is. The 22 years old Jacksonville rapper is a relatively new face on the hip hop scene and is mostly only known for his 2020 single, “Beat Box”.

Based on pictures of the two, one would say DaBabay is taller than SpotemGottem who’s real name is Nehemiah Lamar Harden. But then, some platforms have reported that the Beat Box rapper is 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm) tall; Heightline is yet to authenticate this claim.

DaBaby’s Height Compared to That Of Stunna 4 Vegas

He was later signed to DaBaby’s record label, Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, and was featured on “4x”, a song from DaBaby’s November 2018 mixtape, Blank Blank.

Interscope Records signed Stunna in May 2019 and he has thus far released three albums that featured DaBaby in several songs. Stunna 4 Vegas’ real name is Khaleke Caldwell and he was born on the 1st of January 1996. The 28 years old rapper’s height has been reported as 5 feet 11 inches (180 cm); if this is true, then he is 4 inches taller than DaBaby.
