8. He Is a Big Fan of Combat Sports, Especially Mixed Martial Arts

The rapper is mostly known for being slim and skinny. But at some point in 2018, people noticed that the Pittsburgh native who once weighed only 140 pounds had gained some weight and sports quite a muscular physique. Wiz Khalifa later disclosed that he packed up about 35 pounds after he started getting mixed martial arts training. It is believed that he now maintains his body weight at around 175 pounds. 

Many would wonder why a successful rapper embraced mixed martial arts. In an interview, Wiz asserted that MMA has transformed his physique a great deal. Stressing that he likes the weight he gained, the American rapper told Bleacher Report that he got into MMA because he got tired of being whooped. According to him, he has “super big” cousins with anger problems and they were trained in jiu-jitsu. These cousins often take out their anger on the rapper and his friends, so he decided to embrace MMA.  

Having made that decision, he approached the popular Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Rigan Machado, and trained with him for about two months. Thereafter, he enrolled at Unbreakable and became a Muay Thai fighter at the gym based in L.A.

While Lala was Wiz’s only full sibling, they shared a half-sister named Lauren Thomaz. Lala was a transgender woman. According to her mom’s tweet, she decided to live her life as a woman when she was 15 years old. The cause of her death is yet to be disclosed to the public.
