The gorgeous actress was born on July 30th, 1980 in Vallejo, California. But she spent her formative years in Manteca, also in California. According to various sources, Bowlby’s family played a major role in her upbringing, however, she has not shared much detail about members of the said family.
The actress attended East Union High School after which she proceeded to Moorpark College where she studied Marine Biology, French, and Ballet.
When she was done with her college education, April Bowlby ventured into the entertainment industry and kick-started her modeling career. Not long thereafter, she decided to pursue a career as an actress. It is said that this decision prompted her to move to Los Angeles and study drama under the tutelage of Ivana Chubbuck; which marked the beginning of her career in the movie industry.

Following a few auditions, Bowlby made her debut in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, starring as Kaitlin Rackish in 2004. Her performance in the widely watched series was impressive and not long after that, she began to get offers from filmmakers.
She landed several roles in the subsequent years, one of them had her playing Kandi (Two and a Half Men) from 2005 to 2015. While at that, she was hired to play the main role of Stacy Barrett in Drop Dead Diva; this lasted from 2009 to 2014. She also appeared in four episodes of the TV series, How I Met Your Mother as Meg.

Contrary to the news of Bowlby’s death that circulated online in 2018, the actress is not dead. Like many other public figures, April Bowlby was a victim of internet death hoax and the intent of the perpetrators of this baseless information still remains unknown.
Reports only have it that on the 6th of December 2018, news of her death started to circulate online. Even, a good number of her fans left their condolences on a Facebook page created to mourn her death. Howbeit, a handful of people who were accustomed to such baseless news did not believe the story. Their suspicions were validated the next day when the actress released a statement stressing she is hale and hearty.

She has been a part of several TV productions of late: as Teyna in Heather, Rita Farr in Titans, Ms. Hanson in The Wrong Daughter, and Isabelle Wagner in Dying for the Crown; all in 2018. As of this writing, the actress plays the main role of Rita Farr in the 2019 web TV series, Doom Patrol.
