Ready for more colors, more singing, more dancing, and, of course, more hugging with the wondrous Trolls? Then strap your seat belts for yet another wonderful ride in the Troll village with Poppy, Branch, Biggie, and all your favorite characters. The latest entry in the Trolls franchise Trolls World Tour is set to hit the theatres in the U. S. on April 17, 2020. In the meantime, a super fun trailer and characters posters released by DreamWorks Animation in June 2019 is already making waves and creating Trolls fever among the fandom and moviegoers alike.

Of course, a Troll movie wouldn’t be a Troll movie without our fave main characters from the first film. Thankfully, Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake will return to reprise their roles as Poppy and Branch, respectively. Trolls World Tour Cast: Actors & Actresses and the Characters They Play

Trolls World Tour will feature a star-studded ensemble voice cast – from actors and musicians to talk show hosts and podcasters. Kendrick and Timberlake are joined by other celebs in recurring roles, such as late-night talk show host James Corden as Biggie, Gwen Stefani as DJ Suki, comedian Ron Funches as Cooper, The Big Bang Theory‘s Kunal Nayyar in the role of Guy Diamond, and Icona Pop duo as Chenille and Satin.

Below are returning Trolls World Tour cast and the characters they play.

Anna Kendrick as Poppy

Kendrick is the voice of Poppy, the sweet and optimistic Queen of the Pop Trolls who sees life through rose-colored glasses. The actress is known for her roles in the animated film Courtney in ParaNorman and in musicals such as Pitch Perfect and fantasy/adventure film Into The Woods.

Justin Timberlake as Branch

The American singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, and record producer brought his talents to Trolls World Tour as Branch, an over-cautious and good-hearted hardcore survivalist. He is also Poppy’s boyfriend.

Icona Pop as Satin and Chenille

In the Trolls World, fashion never goes wrong with conjoined twins Satin and Chenille on board. The twin fashionistas are voiced by Swedish electropop duo, Icona Pop (Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo). The pair are instrumental to putting together all of Poppy’s dresses and outfits.

Kunal Nayyar as Guy Diamond

Indian-American actor and voice actor famed for his role as Rajesh Koothrappali in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory lent his voice to the glittery, silver naked troll with a highly auto-tuned voice, Guy Diamond.

Gwen Stefani as DJ Suki

If the lives of the Trolls are a constant party, DJ Suki provides the soundtrack. With DJ Suki, the Trolls’ residents don’t have a worry in the world when it comes to their many impromptu musical moments. Gwen Stefani is the voice behind the iconic character.

James Corden as Biggie

Talk show host James Corden brings to life the biggest troll with an even bigger heart, Biggie in the Trolls World Tour.

Ron Funches as Cooper

American comedian, actor, voice actor and writer, Ron Funches lent his voice to the four-legged giraffe-like troll named Cooper.

New Trolls World Tour Cast and their Characters

In addition to the returning characters, the film will also feature some pretty exciting newbies. For one, the king of funk himself, George Clinton, will voice the funk trolls king while Mary J. Blige will voice his queen and the Queen of the Funk trolls, Queen Essence. Anderson Paak lends his talent to their son, Prince D.

The star-studded cast only gets better, as more royalties come on board. Anthony Ramos voices techno troll King Trollex while Ozzy Osborne will rightfully take his place as Thrash, former King of the Hard Rock Trolls. Trolls 2 will also feature an antagonist to remember, Rachel Bloom as Queen Barb, hard rock trolls queen and Thrash’s daughter. Also in the hard rock kingdom is Karan Soni as Riff.

Singer Kelly Clarkson will come on board as country troll leader Delta Dawn, actors Sam Rockwell and Flula Borg as country trolls Hickory and Dickory respectively. In the classical clan, classical musician Gustavo Dudamel will bring Trollzart to life with Charlyne Yi as another classical troll named Pennywhistle.

Then, there is Ester Dean and J Balvin as Legsly and Tresillo in the Pop village. Irish actor Jamie Dornan plays Chaz, a troll who loves jazz. The Troll Town dwellers will also include Cloud Guy, an anthropomorphic cloud voiced by Walt Dohrn, Guy Diamond’s newborn son Tiny Diamond, a hip hop troll brought to life by Kenan Thompson and veteran voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson as Mr. Dinkles, Biggie’s pet worm. Chance the Rapper has been cast in an undisclosed role while podcasters Justin, Travis and Griffin McElroy make cameo appearances.
