After almost two decades as a sports anchor and reporter, Trenni Kusnierek has earned pride of place among the best you can find in the male-dominated professional circle. Her journey began with CBS-affiliated TV station WDJT-TV, possibly fresh out of college and from there, she got better at her craft. The TV anchor subsequently moved from one TV station to another, scouring for more challenging grounds.

Her tent is currently pitched at NBC Sports where she has reported and hosted several notable sporting events including the 2018 Winter Olympics.

That fateful day, April 30, 1977, was the day Trenni Kusnierek was born into an American family in the United States. Due to her strictness on maintaining a private life when it comes to personal matters, her family background is not known and it’s unclear if she has siblings who she shared her childhood memories with.

The only part of her early years that is known is that she was a student of Muskego High School and after graduating from there, she furthered her education at Marquette University. Going by her career path, it is safe to conclude that Trenni Kusnierek’s major in college is related to journalism and mass communication.

In 2001, she began her professional career as a television personality at WDJT-TV. She stayed with the station for a period of one year before moving over to FSN Pittsburgh in 2003, remaining with the station until 2007. While with FSN Pittsburgh, Trenni chipped in at ABC Sports in 2005. After leaving both stations, she worked at FSN Wisconsin in 2008 and stayed there for four years.

During this period, she equally worked as a reporter, as well as held the position of a studio host for the MLB Network. The Big Ten Network and the NFL Network also had her as a reporter and host for several events. The latter saw her work as a sideline reporter for Green Bay Packers. She gave real-time live comments on the NFL team’s preseason games for a whole season, alongside popular television and radio sports announcer Kevin Harlan and former NFL quarterback Rich Gannon.

In 2011, she started working for WTMJ (AM) & ESPN 540. Her job at the Milwaukee-based station saw her express her views as a sports reporter and talk show host until 2013. The next year, NBC Sports offered her the job to report on curling games at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She reprised the role in 2018 and equally took the job to cover tennis events for NBC Sports during the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The accomplished sports anchor has graced Boston-based WEEI-FM with her presence in the capacity of a weekend and substitute program host. She is still on her job as a sports anchor & reporter for NBC Sports Boston.

Towards the end of the 1990s, Trenni Kusnierek appeared on a dating game show known as Change of Heart. She made the appearance as herself.

If her parents are still alive, that piece of information is only known by Trenni Kusnierek, close friends and relatives. The NBC Sports anchor has not been generous with any detail about her folks, including their names, origin, and profession. Likewise, no sibling has been identified by Trenni as one she grew up with. There are claims, however, that she had the privilege of being raised by her parents and an Instagram post she shared in November 2018 shows she has a niece and nephew who reside in Colorado. She went for what she termed a family wedding when she took pictures with them.

While nothing is known about her parents, Trenni shared lovely pictures of her grandparents during her Christmas visit in 2018.
