Travis Tritt is an American-born country musician, singer-songwriter, and actor. Tritt attained superstardom in the 1990s with several hit country records having launched his career in 1987. Over the years, the talented artist has had 40 titles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, five of which made it to No. 1. Seven of Tritt’s 20-plus albums have attained platinum certification or higher making him one of the best-selling country music artists of the 90s. Travis Tritt on February 9, 1963, in Marietta, Georgia. His parents are James and Gwen Tritt. He developed an interest in music as a child after watching his church’s Sunday school choir perform Ray Stevens’ “Everything Is Beautiful.” He received his first guitar at the age of 8 after which he taught himself how to play. The young Travis became a bit of a celebrity in school and was invited to play in different classes. He equally toured various churches having joined his church band as a teenager. He started writing songs and also joined a music group while still in high school.
Travis Tritt released his demo album titled Proud of the Country in 1987 with which he landed a recording deal with Warner Bros. Nashville division.
