7. The Canadian Actor Made Most of His $7 Million Net Worth From Acting

Thomas Middleditch’s career-defining moment came in 2014 when he landed the lead role of Richard Hendricks in the HBO comedy television series, Silicon Valley. While it is the role that turned things around for him in the competitive industry, he had been making a living as an actor since 2008. From movies to television and web series, he has so far pulled off at least 80 credits as an actor. Anyone with half an eye shouldn’t be told that acting is the major source of his wealth.

The Silicon Valley actor is now armed with a diverse array of talents and experience which has made it possible for him to also make a living as a screenwriter and producer. He has thus far executed the production of two TV series: Memoirs of a Manchild and Middleditch & Schwartz. He wrote both of the series in addition to other projects like Mint in Box, Jake and Amir, CollegeHumor Originals, Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero, and Fort Puleyne. 6. Thomas Middleditch Was Married to Mollie Gates from 2015 to 2021

Thomas Middleditch was once married to a woman identified as Mollie Gates. Like him, she also works in the movie industry as a costume designer. The actor dated the costume designer for about three years before they decided to take the relationship to the next phase. They got engaged in June 2015 and on the 22nd of August 2015, they got married.

Sometime in May 2020, Gates filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. On the 8th of April 2021, they finalized their divorce. From what we gathered, they had quite an amicable dissolution of their marriage but the Silicon Valley alum was ordered to pay Mollie Gates $2.625 million as part of their civil settlement agreement.

Gates left the marriage that lasted for four years without spousal support and apart from the aforementioned amount that Middleditch is mandated to pay her, he gets to keep most of his properties and business entities. There was no child custody battle as the union didn’t produce any child.

5. The Actor and His Ex-wife Were Swingers and It Might Have Contributed to The End of Their Marriage

A Los Angeles Times article related that the incident happened at a goth club in Los Angeles called Cloak & Dagger. Amongst other things, it was said that he groped a woman’s breast.

One of the victims of the sexual misconduct named Hannah Harding detailed that after the actor groped her and another woman, he sent her DMs wherein he claimed that he wasn’t aware that what he did was weird for her and expressed that he is ashamed of his actions.
