Taran Noah Smith is an American actor who not so many would know right now because he got famous in the 1990s thanks to his roles in sitcoms such as Home Improvement where he played the role of Mark Taylor.
Inasmuch as he has not actively been in Hollywood since the 2000s, he still holds his place among people who loved him as a child actor.

Taran Noah Smith was born on April 8, 1984, in San Francisco California. It was here that he was raised alongside his sister, Ariandrea Hilary Smith by their parents, Candy Bennici and David Smith. For his education, he attended the University of Southern California where he had the intention of studying Film.
Even before he was 10, Taran got a role in the popular sitcom, Home Improvement which shot him to fame. Before this, he got a role in ABC TGIF (1990) and later another role in Ebbie (1995). Little Bigfoot 2: The Journey Home, 7th Heaven, and Batman Beyond are other movies he took a part in.
By the time he was an adult, he realized he didn’t want to be an actor and that made him stay away from the screen. As an actor, he won the TV Land Fan Favorite Award as well as the Young Artist Award for Exceptional Performance by a Young Actor Under Ten in 1992.
Although he went to the University, he didn’t graduate as he later dropped out. It was there that he met he met the woman who would later be his wife, Heidi van Pelt.
Since leaving the public eyes, Taran has managed to maintain a very quiet life until 2012 when he was arrested on February 1 and was charged with driving under the influence. The former child star was also charged with possession of hashish and he pleaded guilty to both charges. In his sentencing, he was given 12 hours classes on a drug-diversion program for 18 months, as well as a fine and three years of probation.

The relationship life of the Home Improvement actor is rather very interesting. He got married in 2001 to 32-year-old Heidi Van Pelt. At the time, the former actor was only 17 and they had already dated for some years before finally deciding to get married which prompted the teenage actor to leave home.
The two of them have been together ever since and they even started a business together until 2007 when they got a divorce. The divorce was said to be as a result of the huge age difference (16 years) between them. Nevertheless, it was later reported that Heidi preferred the company of girls to guys and it was also before she found out that the actor had found a steady girlfriend for himself. Heidi Van Pelt smashed every dish they owned before they later got divorced.
The divorce was not amicable as they battled over the business they started together.
From his work as an actor, Taran Noah Smith had $1.5 million in a trust fund until he turned 18. After turning 18, he filed a case against his parents whom he allegedly said misused the fund and used it in buying a mansion, and he won the case.
After he got the money he used it together with his wife to start a food business which later crumbled as a result of their divorce. Having squandered it all, his net worth was most recently placed at $300 thousand.
