Biles was born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio as Simone Arianne Biles. She spent her years of secondary education as a homeschooler and graduated in summer 2015. Early in 2018, Biles announced her enrolment into the University of the People to study business administration and serve as the institution’s brand ambassador.

Biles discovered her talent in gymnastics at a very early stage. Her first attempt was at 6 years old when they went for a day-care field trip. She was noticed by the instructors who suggested she continues with gymnastics.

Subsequently, she enrolled in an optional training program at Bannon’s Gymnastix and commenced training with coach Aimee Boorman at age 8. On July 1, 2011, Biles launched her career at the 2011 American Classic in Houston. The talented gymnast placed third all-around, first on vault and balance beam, fourth on floor exercise, and eighth on uneven bars. She took her prowess to the 2011 U.S. Classic in Chicago, Illinois, where she placed twentieth all-around, fifth on balance beam and floor exercise. At her second appearance at the USA Gymnastics National Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, Biles finished third all-around, first on vault, and sixth on uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. This performance got Biles a spot on the United States Junior National Team.

Biles proved herself as a force to reckon with in her senior international debut at the 2013 American Cup, a FIG World Cup event. She finished second behind her teammate, Ohashi. This follows a fall off the beam. Several milestones later, Biles became a world-class gymnast after an impressive performance, winning the all-around title and first in the floor exercise and vault in July 2016 and earned a spot on the 2016 Olympic team along with fellow gymnasts Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, and Madison Kocian, dubbed “The Final Five”.

On August 9, 2016, Biles led the U.S. women’s gymnastics team to win gold at the summer games, earning an impressive 15.933 in the vault, a 15.3 on balance beam as well as 15.8 for her amazing floor routine in which she performed what has been dubbed “the Biles,” her signature move comprised of a double layout with a half twist.

Their birth father, Kelvin Clemons was never in the picture as he also struggled with problems of addictions and abandoned his family.
