It was in Liverpool, England that SG Lewis was born on July 9, 1994. Unlike many others who started music rather young, Lewis was brought up in a family that was not musically inclined in any way. However, he fell in love with the art when he started watching MTV which drove him to play in bands when he was still in secondary school. That said, his main aim since he began was to become a producer because he had never considered performing as a thing he would want to do. More so, he describes himself as someone who is more of an introvert whose comfort zone is to be in the background.

SG Lewis’ journey to becoming an electronic producer and music star wasn’t all easy because apart from his family not being musically inclined, his friends were also the same way. And so when he began his first band known as the Superheroes, it was all on him to keep the band which was made up of some of his friends. They would only spend five minutes practicing music and then switch to playing PlayStation which would take them hours.

At first, it was hard for him to gain access to the clubs because of his age and so he began learning how to produce all on his own using video tutorials. It was from this that he started his solo career and in only a few years, SG Lewis transformed from an underground kid musician to one performing in London clubs as a mainstream star trying to bring something out of the ordinary.

In 2015, he released his EP Shivers followed by Yours in 2016, and then two chapters of this trilogy EP, Dusk and Dark. Dawn is expected to drop soon.

Family

Much about the family of SG Lewis remains very much in the dark. As noted, the only thing that is known about his family is that they are not musically inclined. However, the family has still offered him all the necessary support needed in his chosen career.

He is known to have a younger brother whose name is Joshua Lewis. The younger Lewis is an actor who studied Drama, Singing, and Dance.

For now, SG Lewis is yet to start his own family as he is yet to get married. In fact, there is nothing in the public domain as regards who he is dating at the moment.

The British singer is signed to Ben and Daniel Parmar’s PMR Records. Lewis was still a student in Liverpool when he first signed the deal. It all seemed like a dream to him because the label is one that was favorite to him with people like Disclosure and Jessie Ware signed to it.

3. He studied engineering and sound 

When SG Lewis was schooling in Liverpool, he studied engineering and sound. Considering that he is a great producer and singer today, one would think he was good with things like audio engineering, but the truth is that he was really terrible in that regard.

4. Lewis has a brother who is an actor

As stated, the singer and music producer has a younger brother who is an actor. He has appeared in both TV, stage productions, and films. Joshua who began acting since his school days attended Identity School Of Acting where he studied professional group acting, Unseen Drama School, and Jackie Palmer Academy where he spent a year to finish an acting course. He has appeared in the TV production The Making of Oscar Wilde (2018), the theatre production Fox Hunting (2018), and the film What Happened to Evie (2017) among others.
