Sarah Lancaster was born on February 12, 1980, in Overland Park, Kansas to a real estate developer father named Michael and a homemaker mother named Barbara. She grew up alongside her younger brother who is named Daniel.

When she was 10 years old, her father got a job in Mission Viejo, California which caused the family to relocate. While schooling in California, Sarah developed an interest in acting and began to take acting lessons at California’s Actors Workshop.

Fast forward to her eighth grade, Saraj Lancaster landed a talent agent and was shuttling between Orange County and Los Angeles where she was auditioning for roles. Channelling all her energy towards acting, Sarah began receiving tutoring on set.

With the help of her agent, she got her start at professional acting with the role of Rachel Meyers in the NBC series Saved by the Bell: The New Class.

Though the initial plan was for her to appear as a guest in the first season, Sarah’s excellent portrayal of the character saw it develop into a main role that would last all through to the show’s fourth season in 1996.

Simultaneously, while portraying her Save By The Bell character, Sarah enrolled at the University of California, Irvine in order to quicken her high school graduation.

After leaving Save The Bell, Sarah Lancaster got guest roles in a number of TV shows until 1999 when she made her film debut in the independent slasher film, Lovers Lane. That same year, she also appeared in the TV film Michael Landon, the Father I Knew.

In 2002, She got a big leap in her career when she appeared in Steven Spielberg’s biographical crime film Catch Me If You Can which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. Though her role was small, Sarah has said that it was a “valuable experience” to work with the renowned filmmaker.

She then appeared in a string of TV shows from That ’70s Show to Scrubs, and then CSI. Her next major role in the small screen came in Chuck where she portrayed Ellie Bartowski Woodcomb. In 2014, she had a recurring role in Witches of East End.

According to People Magazine’s sources, their wedding was a small one held in Southern California. For her big day, Sarah wore a gown made by Amsale. Her “something old, something borrowed…” included her grandmother’s gold mesh heirloom bracelet (engraved with her grandparent’s wedding date courtesy of her parents) as well as her mom’s pearl earrings.
