On the 4th of April 1987, Sarah Gadon was born in Toronto, Canada, to a psychologist father and a mother who worked as a teacher. She is the second child of her parents and has an older brother called James.

As a child, Sarah Gadon nursed dreams of becoming a dancer, this is why most of her childhood was spent in dance classes. In a bid to perfect her dancing skills, the young beauty also worked with prestigious dance schools like The National Ballet School of Canada and Claude Watson School for Performing Arts.

While she went to dancing schools, she also juggled her high school education by attending the Vaughn Road Academy where she graduated from in 2005 with honors. Sarah Gadon then went on to the University of Toronto where she earned her degree in Cinema Studies.

Sarah Gadon’s childhood was an activity-filled one, but in the midst of all she had going on, between school and dancing, she still managed to begin an acting career. At the age of ten, Sarah landed a role on the television show, La Femme Nikita. In the years that followed, she landed more roles in both movies and television shows. She is also widely recognized for the role of Elise Shifrin in the thriller, Cosmopolis. They met in 2012 while she worked on the movie, Antiviral and it is believed that the couple started dating in the same year. The pair finally chose to make their relationship public in 2016. They have however refused to publicize their relationship on any social media outlet and currently live together in Toronto.

While the relationship with Matt Hannam was kept under wraps for a period of three years, it was rumored that she was dating Francois Arnaud, who also happens to be a Canadian movie star; this rumor was later proven to be false.
