By 1991, the actor welcomed his first child with Robin on April 13th, 1991 and she was named Dylan Frances. Two years down the line, came their son, Hopper Jack whose birth was on August 6th, 1993.

Robin Wright and Sean Penn who were still not married after the birth of their daughter and son parted ways for a while. However, they later reunited and a wedding came along in 1996. The couple lived together with their kids at Marin County in California State. However, they had recurring frictions which caused them to seek a divorce in 2007, but it was withdrawn after a few months. Two years later, in April 2009, Sean Penn made yet another attempt to divorce Robin but withdrew it the following month.

Towards the end of 2009, another divorce request was filed with the authorities and this time, it was done by Robin Wright. But this time, she was bent on calling it off and even went ahead to removed ‘Penn’ from her name which made it clear that there was no going back. The divorce was made official on July 22, 2010, and since their final separation, the couple has not really been getting along. They have constantly been in the news for their post-divorce issues especially when it comes to parenting as they had different views on that issue.

Though Robin Wright has been quite silent on the issue of the divorce, Penn has finally come open with statements that explain their separation. Penn made it known that they didn’t get along well and were not communicating much with each other. He went further to say that calling it quits when they did was the best decision.

The former celebrity couple seems to have moved on with their lives since the divorce that occurred in 2010. Two years after the separation, Robin Wright started an affair with the actor Ben Foster, however, the relationship didn’t last though, coming to an end in November 2014 – just a few months after their engagement. The duo came back together the next year, in January 2015 and for the second time called off their engagement in August of that year. Penn, on the other hand, gave love another try with celebrity star and Academy Award winner, Charlize Theron whom he started dating in 2013. At the close of 2014, the duo announced their engagement but ended the relationship the next year.

In 2017, Robin Wright got married to her French boyfriend Clement Giraudet, in a moderate wedding ceremony. In the wedding, the pretty actress looked stunning in her Lacy white Bohemian gown. However, Sean Penn, on the other hand, is still a single man who has even been spotted with a number of partners. Moreso, he keeps himself busy with work and last year, he embarked on a tour to promote his book, ”Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff”.
