Rickie Fowler is an American professional golfer who is quite adept and good at what he does. Born on December 13, 1988, as Rick Yutaka Fowler in Murrieta, California where he was also raised, the star plays on the PGA Tour and has garnered a lot of accolades to himself over the years most especially as a sought-after brand all on his own. Like many others, Fowler made some mistakes in the beginning, but none of them held him back from soaring high in his ambitions.

Fowler attended Murrieta Valley High School where he mostly taught himself how to play golf and soon began his early career path by mostly playing on a driving range. He soon started his journey to professional golfing and by senior year in 2007, he won the SW League Final, leading his team to a resounding victory with a total score of 64-69=133. After this, there was no stopping him. After high school, Rickie easily got into Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where he continued with his winning streaks at the Fighting Illini Invitational hosted by the University of Illinois on October 1, 2007. In what was to be his first collegiate victory, he shot a 203 (70-63-70) to win the tournament by one stroke.

This was not surprising considering that as an amateur in 2005, Fowler had won the Western Junior and competed in the U.S. Amateur, where he was defeated by the eventual champion, Richie Ramsay.

Professional Golf Career

He began as an amateur golfer in 2005 when he participated in the U.S amateur and got defeated, but that did not deter him. He took another shot at the U.S Junior Amateur and was knocked out again in the second round. In 2007, he represented the U.S at the Walker Cup and scored a victory with a 2–0 in foursomes and 1–1 in singles making his overall record 3–1. In the same year, he also clinched the Sunnehanna Amateur (which he also won in 2008) and the Players Amateur. His amateur days continued until 2009 when he made his last appearance at the Walker Cup.

Rickie Fowler’s professional career kicked off in 2009 at the Nationwide tour where he played in the Albertsons Boise Open for his pro debut. After the debut, his first PGA Tour was with the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and then the Frys.com Open in Scottsdale, Arizona. He kept up the good name and scores so that by December of his first professional year being 2009, Fowler successfully got his PGA Tour card for 2010 through qualifying school, finishing T15.

For his performance at his third PGA in 2010, Fowler had a stellar performance that saw his ranking soar into the list of top 50 on the Official World Golf Ranking. However, he recorded his most amazing win to date when he finished in a tie for the 5th at The Open Championship at Royal St George’s. He soon moved up the ranks to number 28 in the world rankings when he finished in second place at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but later dropped to No 32 by 2011.

His first major win as a professional golfer happened in 2011 at the OneAsia Tour’s Kolon Korea Open, when he secured six-shot victory over opponent Rory McIlroy. His other major wins include The Players Championship in May 2015, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open on the European Tour 2015 to mention just a few.

Rickie Fowler’s Net Worth

If you are still wondering just how high Fowler is on the ladder of richest golfers, you can rest assured that he is way up on that ladder. For someone who fell in love with the game at the age of two, he has surely made a fortune form playing. Some years back, he was ranked 6th on the list of highest paid golfers in the world. But as we know, such positions are never steady. He soon dropped to 7th and eventually to 13th.

Like many other celebrities, Fowler is a lover of the good life and this is evident from his collection of cars and the mansion he currently lives in which befits his celebrity status quite well. In 2016, he purchased a sprawling waterside mansion in Jupiter, Florida which is where he currently lives. Just to prove that it is the ideal home for a golfer, the mansion features a golf green with 2.7 acres of waterfront property.

But that’s not even where he splurged. Fowler has always been a car lover and he has a driveway that looks like a car dealership to prove this fact. Among his amazing collection are cars like a silver-colored Mercedes AMG GTS, a white-colored Nissan GT-R, a Porsche GT3 RS, a 1966 Mini Cooper S, a Mercedes Benz CLS 63 and a white stylish Mitsubishi Evo X.

With the above-mentioned properties acquired from his income as a golfer, Rickie Fowler has an estimated net worth of $20 million.

Rickie Fowler has never been married, so he does not have a wife, but he certainly is not single either. Sometime back, he was involved with model Alexis Randock and the two seemed to be truly into each other even dishing out some massive PDA after some of his wins. They seemed to be going rock solid until news filtered in that they broke up in the latter part of 2015. After Alexis, it looked like Fowler was happy to be single again and he was having all the fun.

Fowler kept up his single days until 2017 when he found love again with pole-vaulting star and stunning sports model, Allison Stokke. She is a native of California and seems to be doing great in her career too. The lovebirds have been regular on Instagram after Fowler posted a picture of them hanging out with the hashtag #Rickfoundachick. They seem to be getting pretty serious, so we hope to hear wedding bells soon.

Parents and Ethnicity

Fowler’s family have been termed one of the most supportive in sports, this is mostly because his parents and grandfather never miss a match. His parents are Rod Fowler and Lynn Fowler who previously worked in the office of a steel company but now works for him and is a big fan just like his father.

Although he is a native of California he has so many other ancestries in his lineage. He was named after his favorite maternal grandfather who is Japanese and his grandmother was native American, so he has Navajo ancestry. It was while Rickie worked with his grandfather at the golf course when he was just two that he fell in love with the game of golf.
