In the world of family sitcoms, Disney’s Raven’s Home has made its mark. Beloved by the whole family, it has come to stay, for a very long time at least. A huge part of the Disney Chanel family, the series has continued to serve audience and fandom with the comedy, heart, and relatability that they want to see on TV, for three seasons now and in addition Raven’s Home season 4 is bound to be a thriller.
Raven’s Home is a spin-off of That’s So Raven and premiered on July 21st, 2017. It continues to tell the story of the Baxter family, with Raven Baxter (Symoné), now a divorced mom of teenage twins, Booker, and Nia at the helms. Baxter lives with her bestie, Chelsea Daniels (Anneliese van der Pol) and her son Levi (Jason Maybaum) in Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to Symone, the hit family sitcom also stars Issac Ryan Brown, Navia Robinson, Jason Maybaum, and Sky Katz. It has officially been renewed for a fourth season, which means more on the Baxter family and their household. As we wait for new stories to unfold in season 4, we bring to you everything we know so far about the oncoming season.
Things to Know About Raven’s Home Season 4
The Premise of Raven’s Home
The hit comedy That’s So Raven spin-off debuted in July 2017. Developed by longtime writer/producer partners Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas both of who also serve as showrunners and head writers, it is based on the characters created by the parent series creators Michael Poryes and Susan Sherman.
Star and executive producer, Symone made her TV directorial debut with season 3 of Raven’s Home.
The series finds viewers catching back up with childhood besties, Raven and Chelsea — now all grown up and living together as single mothers trying to navigate life as they raise their children. The twist was when they discovered that Booker, one of Raven’s twins has inherited his mother’s uncanny ability of being able to see into the future.
Following in the tunes of the preceding seasons which were all renewed in October, Disney Channel announced on October 16, 2019, that the series has been renewed for a fourth season. As the third season’s final episode airs on November 15, 2019, we rest assured that we won’t wait long before the new season drops. Production for Raven’s Home season 4 will commence before the year runs out.
The first season had 13 episodes and ran from July 21, 2017, to October 20, 2017. Season 2 came up on June 25, 2018, and had its final run on November 30, 2018, while the third season made its debut on June 17, 2019, and ends on November 14, 2019. Season 2 had 21 episodes and season 3, 14 explosive episodes.
Also, taking a cue from the previous seasons, season 4 would most likely premiere in mid-2020.
Who is Coming Back?
In season 3, we got to witness the return of Raven’s ex-husband (Jonathan McDaniel) as well as finally meet Chelsea’s incarcerated ex Garrett (Johnno Wilson). Family Matters star, Jaleel White also made a guest appearance.
Of course, Raven’s Home will not be Raven’s Home without the Baxter family and other key players including Chelsea Daniels and her son, Levi. That said, we would definitely see them in season 4. There would also be a number of recurring characters as well as guest stars.
Alison Taylor will join Symoné and showrunner Warren Hutcherson in the creative team as executive producer in the oncoming season.
What to Expect From Season 4
The twist of the series was when Raven got to discover that she is not the only one in the family who can see into the future. Booker has inherited her gift and can also catch just enough glimpse into the future to try and change it. Hilarity ensues as the duo try to understand their unpredictable visions while navigating a hectic but loving household.
Season 3 sees everyone in the household pursuing what they love and always wanted to do. Booker, Nia and her friend Tess form a music group named The Chi-Lective. They enlisted Levi to direct their music video. Meanwhile, Raven is committed to launch her fashion line and Chelsea finds new purpose as a life coach.
Raven’s Home Season 4 would likely take off from where season 3 left off or may even take an entirely different direction. We can only wait, watch and see.
