It is always inspiring to hear stories of actors who start a show playing a character on the fringes of the script, but then they slowly grow into an integral part of the show’s success. Apparently, Noah Munck’s acting talent must have been good enough for his story to warrant such an envious narrative.

The actor, music producer, and media personality is a relentless achiever. From his time on Disney and Nickelodeon shows to more mature projects, and to his music production work, Noah is building a versatile portfolio for himself. He is mostly known for playing the character Gibby Gibson on Nickelodeon’s iCarly.

Noah Munck – Bio (Age)

Munck is a California kid, born and raised. On May 4, 1996, he was born in Orange County, California, as the first child of his parents. Right from an early stage, Noah has always been interested in cinema and arts and wanted to make a career out of it.

As a result, he started attending auditions from the young age of ten. In that period, he got a number of commercial gigs including one for Volkswagen and Kellogs. He also appeared in a national “Got Milk?” commercial. Nothing is known about his educational path before college. Noah enrolled at Biola University to study cinema and media arts. However, the pull of the big screen was too much that Noah didn’t wait to complete his degree. He dropped out soon after.

Family Life and Childhood

Noah Munck was born into a faith-filled household. His mother is Kymbry Munck. His father, Greg Munck is the executive pastor at Crossline Community Church, a local congregation in Laguna Hills. Noah’s great grandfather, Bartlett Robinson, was also a seasoned actor in his time.

As stated earlier, Noah has four younger siblings, three brothers, and one sister, Elijah, Ethan, Micah, and Taylor. Part of his inspiration for wanting a career in acting was seeing his sister Taylor, who is an aspiring musician, join an “improv” acting class. On one of his earliest projects, iCarly, his brother, Ethan, plays his on-screen younger brother Guppy on five episodes of the show.

Movies and TV Shows

Noah Munck’s first television role came in 2007 in the form of a small role in a single episode of the series All of Us, titled “Let’s Go, Bobby, Let’s Go!”. Moving on from that, he landed a spot that would eventually become one of the biggest of his career. He was cast as Gibby, on Nickelodeon’s iCarly. In the beginning, he was a fringe character who was a friend to the main characters. However, with time as the show became more accepted and popular, his performance received more notice. In the fourth season, the writers of the show moved him from a recurring role to a member of the main cast.

His performance helped land him a guest appearance on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place in 2008. Noah Munck then made his big screen debut albeit in a minor role in the film Four Christmases as a screaming kid.

The following year, Munck bagged his first voice role on an episode of Disney’s Phineas and Ferb’. And then he went on to fulfill other guest roles on ER and The Troop to round out the year. The next year wasn’t as busy as the actor would have wanted. However, he did end up receiving two nominations for his work on iCarly and also bagged an Australian Kids’ Choice Award.

In 2011, Noah Munck got to work with Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz on Bad Teacher.  In 2013, he was Ben Rogers in Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn. The actor kept busy with guest roles and a few films like Sam & Cat, Just Before I Go, and Arrested Development.

In 2014, he was brought on in a recurring capacity as part of the cast of The Goldbergs.

Noah seems to be intentionally spending more of his time away from movie sets so he can focus on the music aspect of his career. Munck does EDM. He produces his music under the moniker “NoxiK”. Munck operates as an independent artist and releases most of his stuff on his YouTube channel and SoundCloud account.
