Nathan Fillion is the son of Robert and Cookie Fillion, who are now retired English teachers. He is of Norwegian and Finnish heritage from his mother’s side and paternally, he is of American and French-Canadian descent. He has one sibling, an elder brother, Jeff, who happens to be a principal in a Catholic school.
