Sometimes in life, good things come to us in unexpected ways when we never worked to have them. Mina Starsiak can bear testimony to this as that was how she landed her role as the main cast in a television show just by answering a phone call.
Bio and Age of Mina Starsiak
Mina was born as Mina Nicole Starsiak on the 26th day of November 1987 in Indianapolis, in the United States of America as the daughter of Karan and Casey Starsiak. She is an American by nationality and belongs to white American ethnicity. Nina’s parents divorced while she was still young and this contributed to her having seven siblings in her family. We will still explain how they came about in the ensuing paragraphs.
The television show host completed her high school education from one of the local schools in her Indiana neighbourhood before enrolling to study business and sociology at the University of Indiana.
By profession, she is a businesswoman and a real estate agent. In 2007, she got a contract to renovate a home which was her first task. She solicited for the help of her mother who came lending all the help she could. They did a good job and got the house fixed. Soon after, they opened their real estate company and called it ‘Two Chicks and a Hammer.’
To aid the growth of her business which is jointly run by her mother, she joined the Twitter platform in 2015 where she advertised what they did. She gained patronage as well as clients who came asking for their services to fix their respective homes. In addition to Twitter, Mina also joined other social media platforms to reach newer audiences and it was in the course of this she subscribed membership to Facebook.
Mina Starsiak’s career for which we know her today kicked off with a phone call from casting director of HGTV’s new reno show Good Bones after she had been discovered through her Facebook profile. She co-hosts the show which has over 15 million viewers worldwide with her mother: Karen Laine.
In the show, the mother and daughter duo travels across the United States to find houses which are in dire need of maintenance or total renovation in some cases and give it a total makeover. In some cases, they buy off a house, totally break it down and put up a befitting home in place of it on the same spot it once stood.
The show has been hugely successful in its first season, gaining a mammoth fan base for which reason it got its license renewed for its second season or airing.
Family – Father, Husband, Kids
The family tree of Mina Starsiak is quite large and a bit complex,. all thanks to her father and mother. It is not a bad thing though as you will find it interesting.
Starsiak’s father, Casey Starsiak had three children with Laine Starsiak, his wife and Mina’s mother before divorcing her. After the divorce, Mina’s mother got married to another man named Randy with whom she had a daughter named Kelsy. This is her fourth child.
Mina’s father on his own part also remarried to another woman named Cheryl who bore him two children; Jess and Tad, making it six children for him from his two marriages. Cheryl died and Tad had a fallout with his father; Mina’s father and this resulted in his moving in with Mina to work with her on their job sites.
Mina’s mum, Laine later divorced her second husband Randy as she got married to another man named Mick. This became her third marriage which didn’t last as she also got married to another man named Roger.
Good a thing, the complex family three that is a characteristic of Mina’s direct parents is void in her own family. She got happily married to her heartthrob Stephen Hawk on the 11th of June 2016 in a lavish wedding ceremony which was overseen to by her mother; a professional events manager and qualified minister.
She spent a mini-moon with her husband in Charleston, S.C which was followed by their honeymoon in Cabo.
They are foster parents to their daughter named Julie. It is unclear when Julie came to be in their life but all I can say from her several Instagram pictures about them is that they love her with much love.
