Mike Greenberg was born into a Jewish family on August 6, 1967, as Michael Darrow Greenberg in New York and to travel writer parents – Arnold and Harriet Greenberg. He started his career as a host and anchor in radio houses, working for ABC, ESPN, and others. He went further to become a television show host, but he didn’t stop there as he went into writing and acting, appearing in television shows and film roles.
Before his career began, Mike Greenberg was a student of Stuyvesant High School from where he graduated in 1985. He also went to Northwestern University where he read Journalism in the Medill School of Journalism, graduating in the year 1989. In his stay in the University, he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity and while he was there, he worked at WMAQ-AM in Chicago as a sports reporter and anchor.
In 1992, after he left WMAQ, he worked as a reporter for WSCR-radio; a radio house where he was covering events such as World Series and the Super Bowl. He worked as a reporter for SportsChannel Chicago in the year 1994 where he later left to work for CLTV as a reporter, anchor and live call-in show. He was one of the pioneer hosts in ESPNEWS when it first started broadcasting in November 1996.
He went back to radio after he got the offer to work with Mike Golic as a co-host in a morning drive-time show on ESPN Radio. The program went on till they started a regular simulcast on ESPNEWS on April 26, 2004, which was dubbed Mike & Mike, and in January 2005 they also moved to ESPN2. Mike & Mike continued being successful until November 17, 2017, when Greenberg decided to leave the show and he was replaced by NFL Live co-host Trey Wingo, and so the name of the show was changed from Mike & Mike to Golic and Wingo.
Greeny as he is commonly called by friends and associates, is not just a great anchor, but he is also an outstanding writer, having written books like; Why My Wife Thinks Am An Idiot, which was released on March 7,2006. His sports book The Life And Times of a Sports Dad was 14th on the New York Times Bestseller and was also nominated for best sports book in 2006 Quill Awards. Mike and Mike’s Rules For Sports and Life was written by him and his former co-host Mike Golic. He has also written a novel, My Father’s Wives (2015)
Mike Greenberg as an actor has featured in movies like Tilt (2005), Valentine’s Day (2010), and Reckoning (2016). With all this, it won’t be a surprise to know that he is among the highest paid in his field with an estimated net worth of $14 million.

He married Harriet Pinchof Greenberg who was a public school teacher in 1960. They later became travel writers in the year 1965. Arnold Greenberg died on January 15, 2015, at the age of 83.

Where is Mike Greenberg Now?
After he left Mike & Mike in November 2017, he started another program dubbed Get Up, a morning sports show on ESPN which was co-hosted by sport reporter Michelle Beadle and Jalen Rose, a formal basketball player, among others. The show began airing on April 2, 2018.
At the moment, the show is facing some challenges and is said to have been unofficially cancelled, after Michelle Beadle left the show to host an NBA show. Despite all these, we believe something will be done about the misunderstanding and they will pick up from where they stopped.
Other than the above, there is no information about any other venture involving Mike Greenberg. However, we will keep you updated on the medium if anything new comes up.
