Michael Rooker’s Bio
The American actor cum director was born on the 6th of April 1955. He grew up in Jasper, Alabama in the United States of America along with nine other siblings. At the age of 13, his parents parted ways, leaving him and his siblings in the care of their mother who later moved them from Alabama to Chicago. Micheal got enrolled at the Well Community Academy High School in Chicago before proceeding to study at the Goldman School of Drama where he nurtured his dreams to become an actor.
After his formal education in acting school, Michael Rooker began his acting career in 1986 when he made his first movie appearance in the film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Sources have it that he got the opportunity to feature in that movie when he stumbled upon the movie director who was looking for a suitable cast for the movie and Michael immediately accepted to be cast in the movie not minding whether the script was okay or not, since all he wanted was to feature in a movie. His role in the movie brought him well deserved recognition and his popularity started to fetch him other movie roles in films like Eight Men Out, Mississippi Burning and JFK.
The actor became more popular when he featured in action-driven moves such as The Days of Thunder, Cliffhanger, Tombstone as well as Sea of Thunder. Michael was cast to play the role of Yondu in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, a film from the Marvel Studios directed by James Gunn.
