Quirky, exuberant and hilarious are probably the three words that best describe Jewish American comedian and actress Melissa Rauch. She is known for playing the role of Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

Rauch was born on the 23rd of June 1980 in Marlboro, New Jersey to Jewish parents Susan and David Rauch. Melissa Rauch attended Frank Defino Central Elementary School, after which she proceeded to Marlboro High school.
During her early days and all through her school days, she was involved in stand-up comedy around Manhattan. This would later propel her to feature in her own one-woman show “The Miss Education of Jenna Bush” a fictional piece that revolved around the ‘party life’ of Jenna Bush, daughter of former U.S President George W.
