Husband – David Fumero, Children, and Family
Melissa met her husband, David Fumero, on the set of One Life to Live, which he also starred in. David is Cuban just like Melissa, she never imagined that she would marry a fellow Latino until she met him.
David and Melissa’s love story actually began much earlier, years before they actually crossed paths. When the gorgeous Brooklyn Nine-Nine star was 13 years old, she had a huge crush on David Fumero, who was 10 years older and a regular fixture on MTV, where he worked as a model. However, she didn’t realize he was the David from her teenage obsessions until they had been going out for a few months.
They hid their relationship in the beginning to avoid the glare of the public. The two got married in early December 2007, and remain happily married despite rumors being peddled about extramarital affairs. David admits that he had a hard time watching his wife be in love with someone else on the show while he played her cousin, but with trust and understanding, they got over it.
Melissa became pregnant while they were filming the third season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and her son was born five days after they finished shooting that season on March 24, 2016. They named the baby boy Enzo. The family continues to live happily in their home in Los Angeles.
