Sometime in 2017, the Catlettsburg Police department in Kentucky was forced to detach large decals with “Blue Lives Matter” and the Punisher skull from the hoods of the police squad cars after facing a public backlash. The bone of contention was that it was inappropriate for the police to use the symbol.
