Marisa Coughlan’s Bio
Marisa Coughlan was born Marisa Christine Coughlan on the 17th of March, 1974, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The name of her mother is not known, but her father is Daniel Merritt Coughlan. It is not clear if her parents were ever married, separated, or divorced, as a few publications have written that her father lived in the city of Minneapolis while her mother resided in St. Paul. Because of this, Coughlan is said to have grown up in both cities due to the fact that she spent her childhood shuttling between both parents.
She attended a small private school in Golden Valley, Minnesota called Breck School. Later on, her father moved to Los Angeles, California, which prompted his daughter to enroll at the University of Southern California, where she studied French and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. In 1995, her junior year, Coughlan studied in Paris, before returning to complete the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996.
Before graduating, however, Marisa Coughlan had already begun to shape her career path as she was already bagging small roles in series and films. In 1995, she appeared in series like Step by Step and Weird Science, and then in the television film, Fist of the North Star. In the years after graduating, she appeared in episodes of shows like The Burning Zone (1996), Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction (1997), and The Magnificent Seven (1998). She also appeared in films like Our Son, the Matchmaker (1996) and The Sleepwalker Killing (1997) before landing what turned out to be breakthrough roles, first alongside Katie Holmes and Helen Mirren in Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999) and then the recurring role of Dawnie Parker in Wasteland (1999).
Following her breakthrough, Marisa Coughlan landed a role in the teen psychological thriller Gossip (2000), and then the comedy films; Freddy Got Fingered (2001), Super Troopers (2001), and Pumpkin (2002) which also starred Christina Ricci. In 2006, Coughlan landed her next prominent role, which was that of secretary Melissa Hughes on the award-winning television series, Boston Legal (2006).
The following year, she appeared in the Lifetime original series Side Order of Life (2007) as Jenny McIntyre and then in the hit TV show Bones (2008-09) as Special Agent Payton Perotta. In the early 2010s, Marisa Coughlan took a step back from acting as she began writing and producing. Her first work was the pilot, Lost & Found for ABC in 2011.
Family – Husband, Children

It is not clear if the pair dated at a young age before going ahead to exchange vows on the 1st of November, 2008, at a private estate in Pasadena, California. It is also not clear what Stephen Wallack does for a living, as he does not have a job in the entertainment industry like his wife and sister.
The couple, who once had a home in Studio City, California before moving to Deephaven, Minnesota, has since welcomed four children; two boys and two girls. The first child is Stephen ”Finn” Wallack III, who was born in May 2009. In March 2011, they welcomed the first of their two daughters; Merrit Wallack and the second, Ireland Wallack, in August 2013.
