Madison Bumgarner is an American professional baseball pitcher who plays for San Francisco Giants. A World Series Champion and MVP, MadBum as he is often regarded, has become one of the finest players in the sports, and that has made it possible for him to always create buzz whenever his name is mentioned among fans.

Madison Bumgarner Quick Bio

The baseball superstar was born Madison Kyle Bumgarner on August 1, 1989, in Hickory, North Carolina. But then, it was in an area which is known as Bumtown that he was raised. The town is nicknamed that because many people have the same surname as the baseball player.

He was sort of birthed with a natural talent for the sports he is known with today, as he began playing very early. At the age of 4, Madison had already started playing with people much older than himself, and he was doing great. Luckily for him, he had a father who was very supportive.

For his education, he went to the South Caldwell High School in Hudson, North Carolina. Here, he got to play the game he loved dearly, and he made a name for himself after he saw the team to emerge champions during the 2007 4A State Championship.

Thanks to his exploits, he got named by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association as one of its “100 To Remember” male athletes in 2013. What makes this even more interesting is the fact that the list has people like Michael Jordan included.

Professionally, Madison began with San Francisco Giants when he got drafted in 2007 and by 2008, he was pitched for the Augusta Greenjackets. In 2009, he was called up to majors by the San Francisco Giants and that would be the start of a successful career that would see him win 3 Major League Baseball World Series champion, 4 National League All-Star, and 1 Major League Baseball World Series Most Valuable Player Award among others.

His Salary and Net Worth

A very hard working individual who has made a good name for himself, Madison Bumgarner has earned a good sum of money over the years, and he has a net worth that is put at an estimated $25 million dollars. As at 2016, he had an annual income of 9.75 million USD in salary.

The major way that Bumgarner makes his money is from his sports. The San Francisco Giants star signed a six-year contract extension with the team in 2012 which would see him stay with the side until 2018. The worth of the contract was $35.56 million. More so, for 2018 and 2019, the contract is open for an additional $12 million before he becomes a free agent in 2020. Another thing that came with the signing was a million dollars bonus. His annual pay since 2017 is $12 million dollars.

With this earnings, it is obvious that as far as net worth is concerned, the star has already checked the box perfectly. This is most especially as he has also had his fair share of endorsement deals including his MadBum campaign of 2014 for Jockey line of underwear after he won the World Series Most Valuable Player.
