Liza Snyder is not a very well known face in Hollywood due to the few roles she has taken up and the lack of big-screen roles in her repertoire. The actress, who is best known for playing the roles of Molly Whelan in Sirens (1993-1995), Christine Hughes in Yes, Dear (2000–2006) and Andi Burns in Man with a Plan (2016–present), might however, be considered to be among Hollywood royalties thanks to the accomplishments of her grandparents who were very successful in the industry and beyond. Here is a look at her early life, how she began her acting career, and other facts.

Biography

Liza Snyder was born on the 20th of March, 1968, in Northampton, Massachusetts. The name of her father is unknown, however, he was said to be a professor of theatre at Smith College, Massachusetts. Her mother, on the other hand, is singer and songwriter Barbara Green, who was the daughter of five-time Academy Award-winning composer, Johnny Green, and actress, consumer reporter, and current affairs commentator, Betty Furness, who won a Peabody Award in 1976.

With the influence of her parents and grandparents, Snyder aimed to become an actress from a very young age. She attended the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York City where she got to learn from the late American actor and acting teacher, Sanford Meisner, who created the Meisner technique approach to acting.

In 1992, Snyder landed her first major acting roles in episodes of The Trials of Rosie O’Neill and Down the Shore. She then went on to appear in an episode of Murder, She Wrote before landing the main role in the crime drama series Sirens (1993-1995).

Following her appearance on Sirens, Liza Snyder starred in the television films Innocent Victims (1996) and Race Against Time: The Search for Sarah (1996) before appearing in episodes of Chicago Hope (1996) and Pacific Blue (1997). By 1998, she was able to land another main role, this time in the sitcom Jesse (1998-2000). When her time on the show ended, she was able to make her big screen debut in Pay It Forward (2000) which also starred Kevin Spacey. That same year, Snyder joined the cast of Yes, Dear which she appeared on until 2006.

In recent times, the actress can be seen playing the main role of Andi Burns alongside Matt LeBlanc‘s character of Adam Burns in the CBS sitcom Man with a Plan (2016-present). She was a late replacement for actress Jenna Fischer who CBS opted to replace in order to increase the chemistry between the two leading characters.

Net Worth

Thanks to the succesful careers of her grandparents, Liza Snyder has had a career in show business ever since she was a child. This means that Snyder has been receiving a significant income right from the get-go, which unfortunately is not known or available to the public. But add that to whatever was left for her by her grandparents and parents and you can see why she has been able to afford for herself a luxurious life without even having to tirelessly work. In 2006, after Snyder left her role as Christine Hughes in Yes, Dear (2000-2006), when the show came to an end, she took a five-year hiatus from acting before returning to appear in an episode of House (2011) and a few years later in Raising Hope (2013).
