Linda Kozlowski is an American film and television actress who is best known for playing the role of Sue Charlton in the film series Crocodile Dundee. She has also earned a nomination for the Golden Globe Awards. Kozlowski is an alumnus of the prestigious Julliard School in New York City where she studied Drama. Linda Kozlowski was born on January 7, 1958, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Her parents, Stanley and Helen Kozlowski are of Polish descent. Kozlowski was raised in Fairfield, Connecticut and attended Andrew Warde High School, Fairfield. She graduated from high school in 1976.
Kozlowski’s debut on the acting scene was on How It All Began, an off-Broadway production that ran between 1981 and 1982. In 1984, she played Miss Forsythe on the Broadway show, Death of a Salesman. She later played the same role in the movie version of Death of a Salesman the following year.
She became a movie star as a result of her leading female role in the Crocodile Dundee in 1986 opposite co-star Paul Hogan. In Crocodile Dundee, she played the role of Sue Charlton, a New York newspaper reporter who travels to Australia to meet Mick Dundee, a legendary bushman and winds up greatly fascinated by him that she brings him back to New York with her.
She also starred in the 1988 sequel Crocodile Dundee II and the 2001 sequel Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles. In 1988, she starred in Pass the Ammo with Annie Potts, Bill, and Tim Curry as co-stars.
