Lil Wayne’s Height, Weight And Measurements

‘This Lil Wayne’ has certainly found a home on our TV screens. Earning the title of one of the best-selling artists of all time, we have no doubt that the hip-hop artist has made a mark in his industry. Do you need more proof? Lil Wayne passed Elvis Presley as the male with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with 109 songs. Yes, Elvis Presley! Not many artists can boast of attaining Lil Wayne’s height throughout their entire careers.

Lil Wayne is obviously not the first choice for names you would give your baby boy so, it’s obvious that it is just a stage name. The artist was born, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., on September 27, 1982 and he hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. Coming from the ‘most unique’ city in the US must have had its toll on the artist, who joined Cash Money Records at the tender age of nine. That is pretty impressive, at nine some of us were still holding onto our mother’s skirts.

His career as a rap artist began in 1991, and 8 years later his solo debut album, Tha Block is Hot (1999), was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The following albums were just as good, but the album that put him out there was his sixth, Tha Carter III. It featured songs like, ‘Lollipop’, ‘A Milli’ and ‘Got Money’. Till date it is still considered his most popular album.

Lil Wayne’s Height

It would be impossible to lose Lil Wayne in a crowd, his numerous tattoos would definitely make him stand out. In addition to his tattoos, Lil Wayne, popularly referred to as Weezy has other distinctive features. His eyes are dark brown and his black hair has been worn in dreadlocks since before we can remember. The artist has an athletic build with a well-toned body, with well developed abs.

Lil Wayne's height shirtless

We cannot help but notice this, thanks to his numerous shirtless appearances and performances. The real question here is, how many shirt’s does Lil Wayne own? Back to the topic of Lil Wayne’s height, the rap artist is sort of on the short side at 5 feet 6 inches (1.68m). He is of the same height with the movie stars Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood. The ‘Lil’ in his name was apparently not just for effect.

Lil Wayne’s Weight

His well toned body is clear evidence that the rap artist puts quite the effort into keeping fit. Weezy himself has confirmed that he has a work out routine that helps him maintain his weight at 59 kg. He became a personal favorite when he admitted that his routine does not require  him to visit a gym everyday, because everyone secretly hates the gym. Except those fitness-savvy celebrities who rub their workouts in everyone’s faces. He balances going to the gym with bursts of activity during the day.

Lil Wayne's weight skating

Lil Wayne, enjoys skating and includes it in his everyday routine. The rap artist also stresses the importance of staying hydrated which works hand-in-hand with eating food that is packed with healthy proteins such as beef and eggs. His other more conventional exercise routines include; pull ups, bicep curls and bench presses. These all work together to give him the killer athletic body we all see, although genetics definitely have a role to play.

Lil Wayne’s Measurements

The other measurements of the rap artist’s body such as, his biceps, chest and waist remain unknown, but with no doubt in our hearts we can say that he has a body a lot of men are aspiring to have. He wears US size 8, European size 39 and UK size 6 shoes. This is relatively small, but is not very unusual for someone of his stature.

Also, did you know:

  • Weezy’s first stage name was ‘Shrimp Daddy’, boy are we glad he decided to go with ‘Lil Wayne’
  • When he was 12, he mistakenly shot himself with his step-father’s gun, getting shot is the reason he writes
  • The artist does not think he can compete with Kendrick Lamar, way to have confidence in yourself! We have to agree with him though.
  • Though he has featured in ‘everyone’s’ song, his all time favorite feature was in Destiny Child’s ‘Soldier’.
  • Lil Wayne uses marijuana to treat headaches… and coughs, the flu, hiccups, blisters and death.
