Lele Pons may speak English fluently – Spanish and Italian too – however she is not from an English speaking country. She was born Eleonoara Pons Maronese, in Caracas, Venezuela on June 25th, 1996. When she was five years old, her family relocated to Miami, Florida in the US. Lele’s parents were an average earning couple. Luis Pons, her father, is an architect and her mother, Anna Maronese is a practising doctor. She had her high school education at Miami Country Day High School, where she graduated from in 2015. She subsequently moved to Los Angeles in California.

Pons social media stardom began on the video sharing platform, Vine. She was introduced to Vine by one of her friends when she was 16. She started on Vine by posting videos with her friends. At the time, her focus wasn’t on comedy; she was just into making creative videos.

Pons finally focused on comedy and saw her Vine viewership and followership explode exponentially. Till today, even after Vine has been shut down, her account remains one of the most prominent with over 16 billion loops. She was also the first user to make it past the 1 billion loop mark and surpassed well over 10 million followers before the app was shut down by Twitter. Lele has a dating profile that is easy to look up, although she has never officially stated the facts about any of them. In 2015, she was believed to be dating YouTube celebrity Juanpa Zurita. Her Instagram posts of the both of them and a video of them kissing endorsed these speculations.
