Ksenia Solo Biography (Age)
It was on October 8, 1987, that Ksenia Solo was born in Riga, Latvian SSR. Of Russian descent, she spent her early life in her home country before she later moved to Toronto, Canada with her family when she was five. That was where she grew up.
As a young girl, the interest of Solo was to become a ballet dancer and she pursued this dream by going to a ballet school. Unfortunately for her, she suffered a back injury when she was only 14 and that forced her to abandon what was her first love, marking the end of her young dancing career.
Interestingly, her mother was also once a ballerina before she later became an actress and so in what can be described as walking in the shadows of her mother, Ksenia Solo turned her attention to acting. That was not something entirely out of place for her because she had planned to combine her dancing career with acting.
Solo got her first acting gig in the TV shows, I Was a Sixth Grade Alien and Earth: Final Conflict followed by Adventure Inc. and Missing in 2002 and 2004 respectively. However, it was in renegadepress.com that she made a real name for herself. Thanks to the show in which she portrayed Zoey Jones, she won two Gemini Awards in 2005 and 2006 in the category of Best Performance in a Children’s or Youth Program or Series. With that, she became the youngest actor in the history of Canadian TV to earn two consecutive Gemini Awards. In 2011, she got her third Gemini Award with her portrayal of Kenzi (Mackenzie Malikov) in Lost Girl. The show also gave her a Canadian Screen Award nomination in 2013. Her latest TV appearance is in Project Blue Book in 2019.
Her first film role was in the films A Man of Substance, My Louisiana Sky, and What Girls Learn in 2001. With fewer film roles than TV, she also appeared in Sins of the Father (2002), Love Thy Neighbor (2006), and Tulipani, Love, Honour and a Bicycle (2017) among others.
Inasmuch as she has come to be known mostly as an actress, the multitalented Canadian is also a director who has directed a number of music videos including Craig Stickland’s I Hope We Don’t Break Up.
Ksenia Solo was named by Nylon Magazine’s Young Hollywood Issue as one of its 55 faces of the future in 2010.

Inasmuch as many people have constantly asked who the husband of the beautiful actress is, she is still yet to get married, hence she has no husband for now. The actress has always kept her love life away from the public, however, it is known that she has dated a number of men in the past.
Her first publicly known relationship was with fellow Canadian actor Kris Holden-Ried. The couple appeared in Lost Girls together and were seen having dinner together in 2010. Although their relationship remained as only a rumor, there are those that have claimed that the two who coincidentally are quite private individuals, dated for a number of years before calling it quits. For now, there is still no confirmation of this.
Ksenia Solo was also later linked to yet another Canadian actor, Nolan Gerard Funk. The two are said to have dated from 2010 to 2015. According to some sources, they were once engaged, but again, there is nothing to give credence to the claim. Nothing is known about how the relationship ended.
