He, again, finished second in 2005 when he was with McLaren while he won the Australian Grand Prix in 2007 and ended the season with a win for Ferrari. Kimi left Formula One towards the end of the 2009 season and went back to rallying after a series of signings with McLaren and Mercedes GP all failed, including his refusal to sign with Toyota F1 which didn’t have a “race winning car” and didn’t offer him a good salary.
On the 3rd of April 2010, in the Jordan Rally, he scored his first World Rally Championship (WRC) point, later that same year, on September 18, he won his first rally race in the Rallye Vosgien 2010 in France by winning all six stages of the asphalt rally.
The talented driver formed his own rally team in 2011 called ICE 1 Racing and entered it in the 2011 World Rally Championship. Kimi finished eight in the opening round of Rally Sweden and Seventh in Rally Portugal.
