She is best known for her time on ABC’s reality show Dancing With The Stars, which she has won twice; her brother, Derek, who is also on Dancing With The Stars has won the show six times. The talented performer was born on the 20th of July, 1988 in Orem, Utah. She grew up in a Mormon family. Her father, Bruce Robert Hough, was the chairman of Utah Republic Party twice. She has four older siblings – Sharee, Marabeth, Derek and Katherine.
She comes from a family of dancers – her older brother is a dancer and all of her grandparents (both maternal and paternal) were also dancers. She is also cousins with the American actor and musician – Ross Lynch, and his siblings, fellow musicians – Rocky, Rydek and Riker.
Julianne Hough began her official training as a dancer when she joined Orem’s Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. After this, she began dancing competitively.
