The Sunderland, England native was born on the 17th day of June 1990 as Jordan Brian Henderson. His parents are Brian and Liz Henderson. Prior to his signing up to Sunderland, he attended Farringdon Community Sports College.
He signed his first professional contract on June 1, 2008, and made his debut in November of the same year. Jordan joined Sunderland’s first team but did not make many appearances in the first season. Consequently, he was loaned out.
Coventry City became his home temporarily, originally on a one-month loan deal in January 2009, but was subsequently extended till the end of the season. During his time with the City, he made 10 appearances and scored 4 goals. He made his return to his parent club following a fracture of his foot’s metatarsal bone.
