Johanna Braddy is a beautiful and talented American actress. She landed her first professional acting gig as a teenager way back in 2004. 5 years and several small roles later, Brady got her first movie lead as Lisa Morrison in The Grudge 3 (2009), the 3rd installment of the horror film series The Grudge trilogy.

Braddy’s Early Life and Rise to Fame

The talented actress was born Johanna Elizabeth Braddy on August 30, 1987, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her mother Jo Beth worked as a music tutor and also as a singer. Her father Steve Braddy was an engineer. She was raised alongside her only sibling, a younger brother named Cole Braddy. The young Braddy completed her high school education at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Georgia in 2005.

As a teenager, Braddy took her first shot at an acting career in the 2004 telefilm Pop Rocks which was aired on ABC Family. In 2006, Brady starred in the music-drama film Broken Bridges. In 2007, she had a small role in the film Home of the Giants as well as a voice role in the animation Surf’s Up. Brady equally starred in the drama film Whore (2008) alongside Megan Fox, Thomas Dekker, and Ron Jeremy.

In 2009, the talented actress scored her first lead role as Lisa Morrison in the horror film The Grudge 3, the final installment of The Grudge horror film trilogy. She also starred in the films Wild About Harry (2009) and Hurt (2009). Braddy also appeared in the comedy box office hit Easy A (2010) alongside Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, and Amanda Bynes. She also starred in the action film Born to Race (2011).

She had a lead role in the horror-thriller film The Levenger Tapes (2011) as well as supporting roles in Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) and The Collection (2012). Johanna Braddy starred as Callie in the Indie film Believe Me (2014) and Michelle Turner in the drama film Run the Tide (2015).


Just like in the movies, Johanna Braddy’s career also boasts of several roles on the small screen. She made a guest appearance in the short-lived NBC sci-fi series Surface (2005). This was followed by a voice role as Princess Yue in the animated TV series Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005-2007). In 2007, Brady featured in the FX series The Riches in the recurring role of Tammy Simms. She also made guest appearances on an episode of the sitcoms Drake & Josh and Samantha Who? as well as the crime drama series Lie to Me (2009).

Also in 2009, Johanna Braddy starred in the comedy-drama series Greek. This was followed by guest roles in several other series including Southland (2009–2010), CSI: Miami (2010), Criminal Minds (2011), Leverage (2011) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2012).

The talented actress had a major role in the web series Video Game High School (2012-2014) and also in the drama series Unreal (2015). She also had a role in the ABC drama thriller series Quantico (2015-2018) where she portrayed one of the main characters Shelby Wyatt.
