Jeffrey Jacob Abrams was born on June 27, 1966, in New York City. He studied at Palisades High School and Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, and spent his free time writing screenplays.
His first movie job was done at the age of 16; writing music for Dohler’s film Nightbeast, a feature film The Treatment he wrote together with Jill Mazursky during his senior year at college was later purchased by Touchstone Production and used as the basis for his first produced film Taking Care of Business.
