Jill St. John was born Jill Arlyn Oppenheim to Betty (nee Goldberg) and Edward Oppenheim on the 19th of August 1940 in Los Angeles, California. From a very young age, at the age of 6 to be exact, St. John began acting on the radio as she joined the Children’s Ballet Company which actresses Natalie Wood and Stephanie Powers were also members of at the time. The young actress went on to make her television acting debut at the age of 9 in a TV production of A Christmas Carol (1949).

While appearing in a number of shows and taking up small roles in films like Thunder in the East (1951), St. John attended Powers Professional School and received her high school diploma from Hollywood Professional School in 1955. The following year, she enrolled at UCLA’s Extension School as her career moved to the next level with roles in major studio films like Summer Love (1958), Holiday for Lovers (1959), and The Lost World (1960) among others. In 1963, Jill St. John received a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in the film Come Blow Your Horn (1963), which also starred Frank Sinatra.

Jill St. John is currently in her fourth marriage. Her first marriage was in May 1957, at the age of 16, to Neil Dubin, an heir of a linen fortune. The pair eloped to Yuma, Arizona and were married for just over a year before they divorced. Two years later, in March 1960, St. John entered her second marriage, this time to the only child of Babara Hutton and heir of the Woolworth fortune, Lance Reventlow. Their union lasted for about three years before they parted ways in 1963. St. John famously received a settlement of $86,000 following the divorce.

In the late 1960s, the actress was in a well-publicized relationship with actor and popular 60s jazz and pop singer, Jack Jones. The two eventually got married in 1967 but only managed to stay together for two years as they divorced in 1969.
